Friendship Poem:
What could I say to combat a fight?
What could I say to make everything right?
What could I do to keep you in my life
When all that is shown is strife?
How long will dark skies gloom
Forshadowing an oncoming doom
How long will everything seem sad
Making everything seem bad
Nothing can be known
Other than what is shown
But one thing stands true
Nothing can be wrong as long as there's you
You're a sun shining in the dark skies
With as much grace as an eagly flies
You're an end to everything sad
The soft words make me glad
I'll be here in time of need
Until all anger and sadness is freed
Friends are who we are
High or low, near or far
Thanks to Rachelle for sending the poem back
New Poem
How long have I spent waiting for you
Wishing you only knew
How much I truly loved you
But now there's nothing I can do
But sit and wait
Till I lose my fight with fate
Will you ever realize my feelings?
Hoping it's you every time the phone rings
Sitting here waiting night and day
For the words to say
But they never come
Making me hate the man I've become
But who am I to hate myself?
Just a lonely toy sitting on the shelf
Afraid to be alone, unable to be otherwise
Will it, in the end, be my demise?
Are you happy to be leaving
Leaving me wishing for heaven?
Will I see you again?
Start to write a letter but drop the pen
Because the words come to life
And enhance my strife
Tears dwell permanently in my eyes now
Will life ever be good again? I don't see how.
